A simple but satisfying chili
Heat pot to medium high.
Add beef and pork, stirring until lightly browned.
Add onions, garlic and green pepper.
Continue stirring until onions are golden in color. About 10 minutes.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, sugar, and chili powder which has been mixed with the water.
Add tomato soup and 1 soup can of water.
When boiling, cover and simmer about 1 hour.
Add the can of beans and cook until well heated.
This recipe is written for cooking on the stove. I typically make it in the crockpot and let it cook all afternoon. If you do this, brown the meats with the onion, garlic and green pepper, then add to the crockpot. From there, add the other ingredients and stir. Set the crockpot to high (for 4 hours) or low (for 8 hours). You'll love smelling it all day!!
